Overview
Some bookings start in Pending status. This is common for bookings created through the public website where the property requires staff confirmation, or for reservations you saved before finalizing details.
Confirming a booking changes its status to Confirmed, which is the normal state for an upcoming reservation. Once confirmed, the booking can be checked in on or after the scheduled check-in date.
When You Can Confirm
You can only confirm a booking if it is currently:
- Pending
If a booking is already Confirmed, Checked In, Checked Out, Cancelled, or No-Show, there is nothing to confirm.
Steps
- Open Bookings from the sidebar
- Find the reservation with status Pending
- Open the booking detail page
- Review the stay details, guest details, and rate information
- Click Confirm or Confirm Booking (depending on where you confirm from)
The booking status changes to Confirmed immediately.
What Happens After Confirmation
- The booking status changes from Pending to Confirmed
- The booking shows up as a normal upcoming reservation (eligible for check-in when the arrival date is reached)
- Staff notifications may be created based on your notification settings
:::tip If a website booking looks incorrect (wrong dates, wrong guest details, etc.), edit the stay details before confirming. See Editing Stay Details. :::
