DashboardFirst StepsUnderstanding the Dashboard

Overview

The Dashboard is your at-a-glance command center for daily property operations. Rather than clicking through multiple pages, the dashboard brings the most important information together in a set of purpose-built widgets — arrivals, departures, occupancy, revenue, guest status, and more.

It is designed for front desk staff who need a quick read on the day’s activity, and for managers who want a performance snapshot without running reports. The dashboard refreshes automatically every 5 minutes, so the information stays current throughout your shift.

Dashboard Layout

The dashboard is organized into three sections, stacked vertically:

Recently Viewed

At the top of the dashboard, you will see a row of small badges showing bookings and guests you have recently viewed. Click any badge to jump straight back to that record. This is especially handy when you are juggling multiple guest requests.

Today’s Operations

This section shows two widgets side by side:

WidgetWhat It ShowsQuick Action
ArrivalsGuests expected to check in todayCheck In button on each card
DeparturesGuests expected to check out todayCheck Out button on each card

Each arrival card expands to show guest details, room assignment, and special requests. The departures widget highlights the folio balance — if a guest still owes money, the balance appears in color so you can settle before checkout.

:::tip Get into the habit of reviewing Arrivals at the start of your shift. You can check guests in directly from the dashboard without navigating to the full bookings list. :::

Current Status

Below Today’s Operations, two more widgets share a row:

  • Current Guests — a list of all guests currently checked in, sorted by room number. Each entry shows how many days the guest has been staying, making it easy to spot long-stay guests or those checking out soon.
  • Service Requests — pending and recent service requests from guests. Pending requests appear first so you can address them quickly. Timestamps show how long ago each request was made.

Performance Overview

The bottom section contains three widgets in a row:

  • Occupancy — a ring chart showing how many rooms are occupied vs. available. The color changes based on occupancy level: green for low, yellow for moderate, and red for high occupancy.
  • Revenue — total revenue for the current period. Use the toggle at the top to switch between Today, This Week, and This Month views.
  • Room Status — a stacked bar showing how many rooms are in each status: available, occupied, under maintenance, or out of order. This helps you see at a glance if maintenance is impacting your availability.

Refreshing the Dashboard

The dashboard data updates automatically every 5 minutes. If you need the latest data immediately — for example, after checking in a guest in another tab — click the Refresh button in the page header.

:::info The auto-refresh keeps data current without you needing to reload the page. If you leave the dashboard open during your shift, the numbers will stay up to date on their own. :::

Working from the Dashboard

The dashboard is designed for action, not just viewing. Here are the most common things you can do directly from it:

  • Check in an arriving guest — click the Check In button on any arrival card
  • Check out a departing guest — click the Check Out button on any departure card
  • Jump to a recent record — click any badge in the Recently Viewed row
  • Review a service request — click a request in the Service Requests widget to view details
  • Navigate to full lists — each widget section links to its full page (Bookings, Guests, Rooms) for when you need more than the summary

Troubleshooting

Dashboard shows no data?

  • Make sure you have selected a property — the dashboard is scoped to your current property
  • Verify that the property has rooms, bookings, and other data set up

Numbers seem outdated?

  • Click Refresh in the page header to force an update
  • Check that you are looking at the correct property in the top bar
